Hewlett Packard Enterprise Technical Placement - Business Systems Analyst
July 15' - present

 

For the duration of my placement I will be working within Global Support Delivery Supply Chain (GSDSC), operating in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region of HPE and more specifically within GSDSC EMEA Strategy and Business Operations team.

 

HPE Global Support Delivery is relying on this team to support their customers and partners. GSD SC is a spare parts organisation that handles over 7.2 Million spare part events annually to contract support and direct business within EMEA


GSD SC mission on a daily basis is to ensure that the Right Part is at the Right Place, at the Right Time and Right Cost.

 

My Roles and Responsibilities as an Intern are:

- Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting on  several SharePoint sites
- Ownership of several SharePoint Sites
- Bi Weekly EMEA PMT Update's
- Regional Field Lead (Backup) for Master Data
- Assisting on team projects
- Implemented a new holiday procedure for contracted staff
- Provided training on new SharePoint systems to staff

- Point of Contact (POC)  for all other Interns for any issues/problems
- Work Experience Programme coordinator between Graduates and Interns
- Onsite Charity Event Organiser (shared role)

The course, based at UWS Paisley campus, aims to give you the key knowledge and skills that will allow Business Technology graduates to work in any modern business, managing and improving the technology that the business uses, in roles such as Business Analyst, Project Manager, Technology Manager and many more.

My role was to sell EE products and services and increase the number of gross ads to the network. To build relationships with customers with a view to connecting them to the network and retaining their custom. To ensure that all sales and service targets are achieved.

The Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (In priority order) that i handled were : Inbound calls with our customers establishing a rapport, speaking to decision makers, establishing needs, objection handling, influencing and closing sales.

Hit and exceed sales, productivity and customer satisfaction targets, as well as any other performance target.

Maintain and proactively improve sales skills, product knowledge, competitor knowledge and offer management taking applicable action to improve.

Develop relationships with customers and encourage referrals.

Ensure accurate information, quotes and pricing information to customers.

Feedback customer reactions to offers, products and services in order to maximise opportunity to retain.

Follow all appropriate FSA regulations when selling insurance products. Correctly following process and policy when building new deals for potential customers.

 

 

Burger King - Crew member

​2008 - 2012

 

As a crew member at Burger King I was expected to perform a multitude of food and customer service duties. Crew members are the face of the brand as they provide the initial and often the only contact with customers. I was to greet customers as they approach the counter, ask them for their food order preferences, communicate the order to the kitchen and ensure that the customers’ order is provided to them in an accurate and time-efficient manner.

Other Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities I had were:

• Up-sell products by providing auxiliary food items information
• Operate cash register by taking payments
• Process credit card payments
• Accurately count change before returning to the customer
• Clean counters and work areas
• Stock work areas with ketchup, sauces, napkins and paper plates
